Happy Birthday Justin
So on Valentine's Day my 7 year old came home with the most adorable homemade bracelet from her classmate Justin. His birthday came and we just HAD to make him something special! So my daughter and I came up with this little plane card. I cut the plane using a Sizzix die from the transportation set. I found it on clearance at Joann's for $4.97! I added a pewter brad on the propeller and cuddlebugged the wings with the swiss dot folder. For the background I used a technique I learned here and then stamped some trees along the bottom. I just typed and printed the "Happy Birthday Justin" and then cut it out and notched the ends. I rolled it around on a pen a little so that it would look like it was blowing in the wind and tied it onto the plane with some twine. This sounds like a lot but was really simple :) and according to Jenna "Justin thought it was cool!"
Halloween 2011
Made this Halloween card based on this tutorial. I also used a Papertry Ink die cut for the little tag and the stamp set is Wicked Cool from Stampin Up. Beware... the jelly beans won't last!!! :)
Father's Day Cards 2011
So it's been forever since I've posted and I figured I might as well start somewhere lol!!! Here are the Father's Day cards I made last year. I learned how to make these adorable origami t-shirts here. Can you see the resemblance??? LOL These really are simple and adorable! Heard you can even make them with a dollar bill!!! So FUN!!!
