HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

Well it just so happens that both of the projects I have to share today were inspired by posts made on the Cardz Tv 3-D Designers Challenge for St. Patrick's Day!

My son and daughter had assignments due today centered around St. Patrick's. So, while in search of inspiration, I came across these two amazing ideas.  Thank you ladies!!!

Our first family project (as they like to call it now a days lol) was suppose to be a way to share how "Lucky" my daughter is.  So we decided to go with the treat box below.

We adapted this little treat box to hold all of her "lucky" items and photographs.  If you would like a detailed tutorial on how we put this together you can hop over to Expressions By Elaine or watch her Youtube here.  Thanks Elaine for sharing!!! My daughter loved making this with me!
Now originally I had saved last years Leprechaun Trap my daughter and I had made and figured it was "OK" to recycle the one day wonder for my son....

buuuuut then I came across this little gem of an idea from SVGcuts!!!  LOVE IT!!!!!

I initially discovered the idea on Ana's Papeterie and then quickly went on over to SVCcuts to try it for myself.  Elijah and I worked on this together and he was so proud to walk off to class with it this morning :) Thank you Ana sharing on CardzTv 3-D Challenge!!!

Well that pretty much wraps it all up lol!  Hope it wasn't too wordy but I wanted to give credit where it was due and make sure if you had the urge to get crafty you could find your way to the relevant sites.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S EVERYONE!!!

Altered Tags with Tim Holtz inks, paint and stencils and more...

I joined a group of talented ladies who from time to time swap things.  This particular swap was for two Altered Tags.  This took me well out of my element but was so incredibly fun!!!  The best part is you REALLY CAN'T MESS THIS STUFF UP!!!  The freer you are with all the elements the more it comes to life!  I used a wide range of distress inks, paints, stencils and stamps.  I also embellished with some dyed ribbon, charms and washi tape.

I have also entered Darlene's very first challenge at Livelovecards!!!!!!  So excited for you Darlene and thrilled to play along with all the other talented crafters who love you as much as I do!  Here's to many more challenges and let the FUN BEGIN!!!

Easter Bunny Card

It seems as though the "Crafting Bug" has taken a hold of me once again, and although I should be packing for our Easter Break trip I have become distracted.......as usual!  LOL

I was googling "Easter cards" and came across this adorable idea!!!  I had to improvise as I did not have all the Stampin Up punches, but the recipe for this one is pretty simple.  Large circle, smaller circle (it could be any cutting device, cricut, silhouette, spellbinders etc), I did use the Large Stampin Up oval punch and then had to use my spellbinders for the smaller pink ovals, the toes are from the Stampin up double circle punch (but you could even just color some cute little toes with a marker), and the tail is the Stampin Up boho punch which I glittered up.  The rest is up to your imagination!!!

Well, I am off to finally get to it.... unlessss...no nevermind I'd better get serious!  I hope you all have a wonderful Easter break and thanks for stopping by!

Bird House Easter Treats

Happy Easter!!!

I try to do little things for my children's teachers just to remind them how much they are appreciated.  Today I sent the girls to school with some adorable bird houses filled with chocolate eggs inside!  One of the teachers LOVES owls so that was a no brainer and the others I tried to vary slightly as well.

The birdhouse was cut with the Silhouette Design ID #38481 and was simple to assemble!  From there I embellished with a bird and the rolled flowers from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge and the fence was a Martha Stewart punch.  The owl was assembled with the Owl punch from Stampin Up.  I also added a couple extra 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 square layers of paper to the bottom of the box as well as the roof just to make it a little more sturdy.  I cut up some raffia to put inside like a nest and just added the chocolate eggs!  Most of the time was spent on deciding how to decorate these adorable birdhouses since the assembly took 2 minutes!  Well, that's it for today!  Hope you enjoyed it and have a wonderful weekend!!!!

Thank U Card

HAPPY SPRING Ya'll!!!!  Had a few extra minutes this week and decided to play along with Cardz TV Card Challenge #4!  Always handy to have a "Thank you" card in the stash!

I received my Stampin Up goodies the other day and decided to use some of the new colors, Strawberry Slush and Costal Cabana!!!  So fun!!!  The flowers are from spellbinders here.  The "Thank U' is also from Stampin Up, and the twine and ribbon came from my stash.  That's it!!! Pretty simple huh???  Well I'm off to the next great adventure!

Happy Crafting Friends!!!

Halloween fun!!!

Ssssooooo between Google and Pinterest it is a wonder I get anything done!!! I was searching around for something else (of course!) and came across this idea! Vinyl Pumpkin Witch, and while it is adorable, I figured on making it my own and came up with this idea:

I also cut her out of black card stock from the Wrap It Up cricut cartridge and used real dial size to fit accordingly on the pumpkin, I cut this scallop from another cartridge (I forgot to write it down sorry!) out of a scripted designer paper and placed black brads along the outer loops.  I had some scrunchy orange ribbon I tied in a bow for her broom and placed an orange flower on her hat.  I tied black tulle around the stem of the pumpkin, added some cord and more flowers.  The band around the middle of the pumpkin is just a hemp ribbon with black patterned washi tape placed in the center and then stapled together in the back.  The best part of this project is that after Halloween I will be able to take everything off and still use it for the fall!

........... Theeennnnnnn..... I found this AMAZING IDEA on Pinterest!!! Window Monster Decor!

Since we have just moved I have PLENTY of moving boxes and thought WHY NOT!!!  Here is what I adapted for our dining room window:

I later added some black crepe garland around the top to finish it off and my kids LOVE it!  And to think it is literally just cardboard boxes spray painted black with some gift tissue paper and foil for the eyes!!!!!!  So fun!!!  Can't wait for the neighborhood kids to come a-knockin!!!!  :)

Last, but not least, I tried a new type of card fold cased on Splitcoastampers, here:

The image is from Stampendous and I colored the adorable mummy with copic markers.  I added some little googly eyes to bring the pumpkin to life.  I used a Spellbinders square die to cut the image out, Martha Stewarts around-the-page web punch, a button and orange ribbon.  I really like the way this came together and see many possibilities in the future.  I am going to enter it in the

CARDZ TV LINKY PARTY GO-TO GALZ COLOR CHALLENGE #7 "HAPPY HALLOWEEN" !!!

Well this was a long post and I hope you enjoyed the visit!!!

What projects have YOU been working on???  I'd love to hear about them!

Thanks again for stopping by and HAPPY CRAFTING!!!!

Thanks

Happy Fall Ya'll!!!!  Now that I'm living here in the south I have come to appreciate the simple and warm greeting that comes with "Happy Fall Ya'll"!!!  The nights are starting to cool off and the days settle in the lower 80's!  I'm LOVIN it!!! Here is a card I put together for the:

CARDZ TV GO-TO GALZ CHALLENGE #36 "COLORS OF FALL"

I typed up the "THANKS" on the computer and cut them out with a square punch (tedious but worthwhile), the leaves and corner punch are also a die cut I found on sale a while back, the pumpkin is from BoBunny which I colored with some copic markers.  Thanks for stopping by!!!

Hugs,
Crystal
